Best Time to Visit Udaipur

Udaipur offers moderate climate all year round. However, the best time to visit Udaipur is from September to March when the weather is nice and pleasant without the seething heat from the scorching sun.

 

  • Winters (December to February) offer pleasant climate with the temperature not going beyond 32°C. The pleasant weather is perfect for enjoying holidays and indulging in various tourist activities.
  • Summers (mid-March to June) involve hot weather with the temperature reaching a maximum of 45°C, especially between April and June. The hot climate is not suitable for visiting the tourist attractions in Udaipur.
  • Monsoons (July to September) offer very little rainfall. The scanty amount of rains in Udaipur makes the place very humid. However, during monsoon, the lush green landscape of the place become very attractive. Even the lakes are filled with rain water.

It’s worth timing your visit here to witness one of the popular festivals that take place in town. The biggest festivals are the Shilpgram Festival of performing arts which takes place in December every year and the procession-heavy Mewar Festival with free cultural programs in March/April.
