Getting to & from Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh is well connected to other Indian cities via rail, air and bus services.

By Air – There are no international airports in Madhya Pradesh, but the main cities – Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Raipur – plus big tourist spots such as Khajuraho are connected by rail and air to one or more Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay) and Kolkata (Calcutta).

By Train – All the major cities and big tourist destinations are well connected by the Indian railway network. Regular trains ply from other Indian states as well as between cities in Madhya Pradesh.

By Bus – It is not advisable to travel by bus between states as the journey is long and uncomfortable due to the bad condition of roads in India.
