Albeit a handful, the best Shark Bay restaurants are located in Denham, 26km northeast of Monkey Mia. The best restaurant in town is the Old Pearler Restaurant located on Knight Tce. Built from seashell bricks, this splendid stone building houses one of Western Australia’s most atmospheric old restaurants. Its cosy interior, with fireplace, rustic wooden furniture, and candlesticks on the walls, is the perfect place to feast on hearty Australian favourites like steak Dianne and crayfish mornay. Shark Bay Hotel is a typical Aussie pub bistro serving hearty counter meals.
In addition to the above mentioned restaurants, there is a supermarket, bakery, cafes and takeaways on Knight Tce.
If you’re staying at the Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, the resident restaurant is a nice place to dine at. Alternatively, the bar at Dolphin Lodge also serves good-sized counter meals and snacks. In addition to the above dining options at Denham and Monkey Mia, you can also considering self-catering which is a more affordable option.
