Surfing at the Main Beach in Noosa Heads is one of the top things to here. The Main Beach in Noosa Heads has some of the best surf breaks along the coast and this draws visitors from all over the country. If you’re not a surfer and are not keen to try your hand at it, Main Beach is also a great place to people watch.

For surfers, the waves are best in December and January but if you’re out of season, consider Sunshine Corner, at the northern end of Sunshine Beach. It has an excellent year-round break, although it has a brutal beach dump. Sunshine Beach is located just behind Noosa Junction off the David Low Way, about 2km (11⁄4 miles) from Noosa Heads.

Hastings Street in Noosa Heads is the main restaurant strip in Noosa town. Here, the restaurants are pricey but you get what you pay for. The restaurants on Hastings Street are some of the best in Sunshine Coast. One of the best restaurants on Hastings Street is Berardo’s Restaurant and Bar, so if you’re looking to splurge on a romantic dinner this is the place; bookings are recommended.
