The weather in Andhra Pradesh is hot for the most part of the year with high humidity along the coast and relatively dry in the interior areas. The monsoons in June and the return monsoons in October provide adequate rainfall for the rain dependent agriculture in the state. The best time to visit Andhra Pradesh is from November to February when it’s relatively cooler. The hottest months are April, May and June which are best avoided.

 

  • Winters (December-February) is the ideal time for visiting Andhra Pradesh. During these months, the temperature can drop to a minimum of 4°C.
  • Summers (April-May) are very hot in Andhra Pradesh and the temperature can reach up to a scorching 47°C. Most tourists stay away from visiting Andhra Pradesh during the summer months due to the extreme hot weather.
  • Monsoons (June-September) brings medium to heavy rainfalls to Andhra Pradesh. It is advisable not to visit Andhra Pradesh during these months as the roads are wet and slippery and prone to flooding.
