Summary
Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour is more than a busy, fishing harbour. It has some of the best entertainment, restaurants and breweries in Western Australia. With the likes of Cicerellos and Kailis, you can’t go far for a good seafood dining experience, and with the Little Creatures brewery next door, there’s no better way to enjoy the scenery than with a cold beer in your hand.
Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour
The Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour is a lovely stroll down from the town centre. Not only is it a busy fishing port, it is also a lively entertainment and dining hub, with popular seafood restaurants and breweries lining the waterfront.
The harbour is a fully operational fishing port, meaning there’s always fresh fish on offer – in fact a fresh seafood market sells direct to the public.
As I take a stroll around the harbour in the morning, I see all sorts of maritime activities going on including local fishermen hauling in catches.
The harbour has an interesting history – starting life in the early 1900’s as a single jetty and fish market. With the staging of the America’s Cup yacht race defence off Fremantle in 1987 the harbour underwent a massive facelift.

Today, waterside restaurants, historic fish and chip shops, and locally brewed beer make Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour a popular spot.
Famous seafood restaurants such as Cicerello’s and Kailis dot the waterside and provide some of the finest seafood available in a working fish market environment.
