Best Time to Visit Bright

Bright is beautiful year round but it is most spectacular in autumn when its leafy avenues and gardens are really showing their colours. The town is famous for the colours of its European trees in fall. The trees along Bright’s main street flame into spectacular colours or red, gold, copper and brown for its Autumn Festival in April and May.

In winter, the town turns into a gateway to the snow fields, with the resorts of Mount Hotham and Falls Creek in the Victorian Alps close by.

In summer, swimming and fly-fishing for trout in the Ovens River are popular activities.
